Carlos Canales
Born in Madrid in 1963, he is a lawyer and writer. A researcher of folklore and traditions, he is the author, together with Jesús Callejo, of Duendes (1994), the first work in the trilogy on the “seres mágicos de España,” and Seres y Lugares en los que usted no cree (1995). As a researcher into the history of Spain, he has served as director of the history magazines Ristre and Ristre Napoleónico and is the author of a book on the First Carlist War, another on the Peninsular War, and dozens of articles for specialized journals. He is therefore a major popularizer of historical topics, both past and present. He has been a member of the program La Rosa de los Vientos on Onda Cero. In recent years he has devoted himself to publishing, in collaboration with Miguel del Rey, numerous books dealing with little-known aspects of world history, such as Blitzkrieg. La victoria alemana en la guerra relámpago; La palmera y la esvástica. La odisea del África Korps; Una jauría de lobos. Submarinos. 1918–1945; Las garras del águila. El segundo Reich. 1871–1918; A sangre y fuego. La guerra civil americana; En tierra extraña. Expediciones militares españolas; and Polvo y terror. Las Waffen SS.
