Chris Whitaker

Chris Whitaker is a British crime novelist, born and raised in London. He worked for ten years as a financial trader before turning to writing, and later worked part-time at Bishops Stortford Library. His novels include Tall Oaks (2016), winner of the CWA New Blood Dagger; All the Wicked Girls (2017); We Begin at the End (2020), a New York Times bestseller that won the CWA Gold Dagger, the Theakstons Crime Novel of the Year, and the Ned Kelly Award, and was optioned by Disney; The Forevers (2021); and All the Colours of the Dark (2024), which is being adapted for television. He lives in Hertfordshire with his wife and three children.
