Kevin Mitnick was an American computer security consultant, author, and formerly one of the FBI's most-wanted hackers. After serving prison time in the 1990s for computer intrusion, he reinvented himself as a security consultant, founding Mitnick Security Consulting and serving as Chief Hacking Officer at KnowBe4. He wrote several books, including the autobiography Ghost in the Wires (2011), and died of pancreatic cancer in 2023.
