Lewis Carroll was the pen name of Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, an English author, mathematician, photographer, and Anglican deacon who spent his academic career at Christ Church, Oxford. He is best known for the children's novels Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865) and Through the Looking-Glass (1871), alongside contributions to mathematical logic and recreational mathematics.
