Bulfinch's Mythology: The Age of Fable / The Age of Chivalry / The Legends of Charlemagne

Description

Thomas Bulfinch, an American scholar, has amassed some of the largest collections of English mythology anywhere. In this edition, he begins with stories of gods and heroes from Classical, Eastern and Northern mythology. He then delves into stories of King Arthur and his knights, Celtic legends, and Robin Hood and other British heroes before recounting tales of Charlemagne. This illustrated collection contains much more than just simple tales and poems; it is a literary history of the English language.
