The story of an ex-show jumper who has been blinded, and an ex-Borstal boy who loves him and who is trying to live down his past. Takes place at a home of rest for horses who can no longer work, and considers the rights of horses who have given faithful service to be allowed to end their days in peace rather than be destroyed.
