"In our eighth excursion, Miwa faces off against Tetora in a battle of willpower and personality transference, and Detective Sasayama stumbles across another string of horrible murders. Sasayama thought that the deviants and deaths related to the 'barcode eyeball' cases were the worst things he'd ever have to deal with, but-- with two new partners in tow-- he faces something just as dark and dangerous. With a major character on an autopsy table and the introduction of Lucy Monostone's nephew, this crazy ride gets even wilder, and Eiji Otsuka continues to astound with his inventive plot twists and attrocities" -- p.
