"The ThunderCats must leave their disaster-struck planet in search of a new home. They travel the galaxy under the leadership of their elder, Jaga. The ThunderCats: Cheetara, Panthro, Tygra, Wilycat, Wilykit and the young Lord Lion-O (accompanied by his very own nursemaid, Snarf), discover a little blue planet orbiting the sun known as earth. They know this new planet is their only hope. Also escaping a dying planet are the enemy mutants: the monkeymen, the jackalmen and the reptilians, led by the evil S-S-S-Slithe. Being enemies for centuries, the mutants have battled the ThunderCats to gain possession of the 'Eye of Thundera', the source of the ThunderCats' special powers. The Eye of Thundera is on a mighty sword and can look back into the past, see into the future and sense when danger is pending.
