Its appearance there led to her inclusion in Being Various: New Irish Short Stories, the Faber anthology edited by Lucy Caldwell. Written during the years Yan Ge lived in Ireland, the piece follows a young woman who escapes her polluted city, only for her retreat to slip into the surreal.
