Overview

After yet another furious argument, seven-year-old Andrev's mother lets him in on a secret: his father is, in fact, not his father. Rather than devastated, Andrev is excited by the possibilities this revelation opens up. With a childish resilience, he navigates life and his mother's more or less destructive relationships with various boyfriends. Men are drawn to her like moths to a flame, but she cannot control how they behave. According to the boy, his mother's boyfriends resemble magicians and murderers, artists and thieves, and – just like growing pains – they appear uninvited and leave unexpectedly.
