Overview

Without education or experience, acting intuitively, local residents in Yakutia are beginning to develop beekeeping. They are the world's northernmost beekeepers, cautiously checking their apiaries all summer long, delighted by the buzzing of bees. By autumn, these people have formed a beekeepers' association and are beginning to extract their first honey.
