Dolly Parton

Dolly Rebecca Parton Dean was an American musician, actress, philanthropist, and businesswoman. She was a child prodigy, writing her first song at the age of six, performing regularly on TV at the age of 10 and making her first recording at the age of 11. She became a professional songwriter at the age of 16 and, after writing hits for other artists, her debut album, Hello, I'm Dolly, was released in 1967, beginning a career spanning 60 years and 50 studio albums. Known as the "Queen of Country", she was one of the most-honored female country performers and received various accolades, including 11 Grammy Awards, three Emmy Awards and the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, along with nominations for two Academy Awards, six Golden Globe Awards, and a Tony Award.
