A self-aggrandizing project made by a delusionally terrible person as far as anyone can tell.

Despite this, Petal is some of Grande's best work. The production is noticeably more bass-laden than recent outings, adding richness to her usual vocal layering. The laid-back arrangements are varied while still pulling together into one of her most cohesive albums.
