I know that the animation is whack and I hope someday we do get a good adaptation of the source material (even though some of the more iconic scenes are done really good), but in terms of adapting the story and the voice acting, I really like these films. It is what got me reading berserk in the first place so these movies will always be special to me.

I still need to check this version out. The OG season is awesome and I like the 2016 comeback even though the animation was pretty terrible
These movies have their moments of looking like a PS2 game cutscene but I still think is an overall faithful adaptation of the source material that still conveys the strong emotions of the manga very well. I think they are worth the watch!
