A book and game worth your time

Sports only matter if you care. If you care about the team, the school, franchise, the players. Gene Wojciechowski makes you care about Duke and Kentucky. He makes you care about Duke's rise and Kentucky's rebuild. He makes care about Lattener, Pittino, Hurley, Coach K...

And even if you know how the story ends you don't know how they got there. And this journey is one you want to take.

Like so many of the best books 'The Last Great Game' over delivered. Gene took the time to explain not just the game, or the histories of the players and the basketball programs but also the impact of all these things on their areas and everyone.

This is probably the second best book about sports I have ever read, right behind Friday Night Lights. It is wonderfully written and is easy to follow and become engaged with.
