Paranormal podcasters receive an email from a random address containing ten audio files. The recordings get more and more alarming, and one of the podcasters goes down a rabbit hole as her skepticism hits its breaking point.
This movie has been pretty divisive and is definitely a slow burn. Undertone doesn’t go for jump scares or much in terms of visual scares at all, but instead goes the route of a brooding, slow descent into paranoia. This shit really nails that feeling you get when you feel like there’s something right behind you, or like there’s something watching you.

this movie had me in the first half and I was invested but in the second half I felt like it started feeling a bit to tropey. Glad you liked it tho! I don't know anyone else who has seen this movie lol
It was definitely compelling. I kind of forgot the ending which is never a good sign especially since I just watched it a few months ago, but I remember those scenes listening and then looking over her shoulder into her empty house were nerve-wracking.

I can see the feeling tropey part. It didn’t do anything particularly new but I thought the execution was top notch
