Description
The story begins with Yuzuru Otonashi, a teenage boy who wakes up on the campus with total amnesia. Upon waking, he meets Yuri Nakamura, a gun-toting girl who recruits him into the Afterlife Battlefront (Shinda Sekai Sensen, or SSS).The SSS is an armed rebel organization composed of students who blame God for their unfair, tragic lives. They fiercely resist conforming to the school's structure, believing that giving in will cause them to disappear and be erased.Their primary enemy is the student council president, a soft-spoken, white-haired girl nicknamed "Angel" (Kanade Tachibana), who possesses supernatural, high-tech defense abilities. The SSS wages a chaotic war against her using conventional firearms and weaponry. However, as Otonashi spends time in this world and begins recovering his memories, he starts to question the true nature of their war and the real purpose of the afterlife
