I need scary movie suggestions
So I wanted to make this list as a somewhat community curated list for some scary movies. Mainly because, I am getting my wife slowly into horror. I took her to see IT beack when we first started dating and she was terrified after and never watched a horror movie with me since. However the last couple years I have gotten her to watch a couple of horror movies that she actually enjoyed so I am looking for help on suggestions of movies to watch with her for Halloween this year! Below is the movies I planned on watching this year with her already. As a kind of gauge for suggestions, she loved Sinners and Backrooms but she did not like IT or Obsession.

Seconding Pontypool. The Clovehitch KillerMovie and The House That Jack BuiltMovie for more good serial killer stuff. I Saw the DevilMovie is a masterful revenge movie if she doesnβt mind darker stuff. PoltergeistMovie for classic stuff. Murder PartyMovie for a horror/comedy and Green RoomMovie, same director totally different vibes
I would not recommend The House That Jack BuiltMovie for someone new to horror lol
lol yeah that and I Saw the Devil might both be a bit of a stretch. I feel like I nailed it with Murder Party though it even takes place on Halloween! Maybe replace House that Jack Built with HouseboundMovie. Pretty light one from New Zealand with an interesting plot
Green Room is one of my favorites though
To follow up XMovie, I really enjoyed PearlMovie the most. I second Jennifer's BodyMovie, but I would also add The Silence of the LambsMovie as a good starter. The ScreamMovie franchise also might be on the easier side imo. If you want something absolutely unserious and ridiculous (and frankly a bad movie that's kinda playing on the fact that it's a bad movie) SpreeMovie.
ScreamMovie was one I thought of awhile ago but totally forgot so thank you for the reminder! I for sure think she can handle that. The Silence of the LambsMovie should also be another great pick because she loved ZodiacMovie and they got the same vibe imo
I second The Silence of the LambsMovie . It is one of the best paced films I have ever seen.
The ThingMovie An American Werewolf in LondonMovie The Lost BoysMovie
The Thing would be too freaky for the wife unfortunately. Classic tho
Ok, swap that with TremorsMovie
PontypoolMovie XMovie Jennifer's BodyMovie
I second XMovie such an awesome movie
