if the movie wanted to be a joke and frame this as total fantasy or have a punchline about Jenna Ortega's character actually being a terrible writer, this could have been very funny and entertaining (and would have been a good excuse for the terrible writing).
instead the film takes itself completely seriously with an extremely bizarre script. it is shot almost totally uninterestingly, the music sucks, some really bad performances, etcetera. Miller's Girl is a bad movie. I would watch it again tho for how strange it is, there are some really bewildering moments here.
#1 on my 2024 list so far (I haven't seen any other movies from this year yet)
