I used to dump a bunch of music, new and old, into giant playlists and hit shuffle but I ended up never feeling like I was actually absorbing any of it. Switched to listening to albums instead probably 95% of the time and I like it a lot more. Although playlists work better sometimes too.
I think by sheer volume I listen to playlists more these days, but that's only because I am usually putting something on shuffle when someone else is in the car or when I'm coaching at the gym. If I'm sitting alone I prefer to listen to whole albums
I feel it, it is a hassle changing albums especially if Spotify just rolls over to some garbage right after hah
Used to listen to albums before the days of spotify and pandora. Now I just hear song I like and add it and hope to discover new music along the way.
50/50 mix of full albums and playlists that I make. Used to be more full albums than anything but with my current job huge playlists are easier so I don’t have to pull out my phone a bunch to switch to another album
Usually after I’ve dissected the album for a bit, I pick the bangers from it and throw it in a playlist. I would say its 50/50.
Either spotify mixes or sirius xm
