Sheryl Lee delivers one of the most beautifully tortured performances ever. Watching this movie, you can tell how much Lynch loved this character, and the sympathy that FWWM has for Laura Palmer's suffering is so touching. And of course, her screams. I don't think I've ever heard another actress with a scream as gut-wrenchingly visceral as Lee.

I really think that Ray Wise's brilliant work as Leland Palmer in both this and especially the original TV show ought to be talked about as one of the most immense pieces of acting in history. Seriously, he is fucking incredible.

FWWM is much darker than the original show (and how could it not be?), but fuck me if I don't just adore this place. I could live in Twin Peaks for the rest of my life. Get me out of here, and take me to this sleazy little PNW town. Thank you David Lynch.
