A film made by those who don't particularly like the Odyssey, for those who have never read the Odyssey. With a script so ill-considered that it evolves from badly written to disingenuously modern, Nolan trots out his jarring-yet-fashionable cast in garish costumes, onto cheap-looking sets that range from anachronistic to completely incongruous. A vanity project that will not age well.
