The Shining
“What else is there to say about this masterpiece? My wife and I watch this every year and every year we have a great time watching and discussing this film.”

Salem's Lot
“The ending was just awful. The rest of the film was fun but its hard to recommend when I know how much of a let down the ending was. It helps to think of this movie as a origin story for Blade.”

It Chapter Two
“Where the kids had chemistry their adult versions don't. Each are good actors but they just don't bounce off each other the way the kids do. A classic Steven King ending and that is not a compliment. I saw this in theaters with my wife and her perfectly timed and snide remark broke the tension in the final battle in a way that I will never forget.”

It
“The chemistry between the kids is what makes this work. They clapback and have fun with each other. The best parts of the movie and when they are just kids. Bill Skarsgård has so much fun as the Pennywise.”

Ernest Scared Stupid
“I saw this in theaters when I was 6. We couldn't finish the movie. I was petrified. A great movie if you want to introduce your kids to Eartha Kitt.”

The Invite
“A cleverly crafted script, bolstered by excellent acting and an attention for fun shot composition. It's difficult to make an engaging single-location movie, and Olivia Wilde pulls it off with care.”

The Invite
“Insane what olivia wilde is capable of when she's not busy cheating on her husband”

Remember the Titans
“The actors and there chemistry elevate this paint by numbers feel good movie about HS football helping a community overcome racism. You can pretty much guess what is going to happen but it’s the quality of execution that makes this movie worth it.”

Violent Night
“This is the movie equivalent to getting an extra chicken nugget in your happy meal. Better than expected. The smartest move was to make almost everyone unlikable.”

Saga, Vol. 1
“This is one of the best comic series I have ever read. From amazing illustration and art by Fiona Staples to wonderful and creative story telling by Brian K. Vaughan. I recommend this to anyone to get your fill of fresh scifi, palpable drama, and great action.”

Batman: Arkham Origins
Had to do a full review on this one because I have a lot of thoughts. With the first two entries, those games were just immediate slam dunks. They were fun, engaging, creative and the perfect amount o...

Under Siege
“Steve Seagal is the human equivalent of a 6'4" pile of crap. But this is a fun movie. Die Hard set on the USS Missouri. Fun kills. Tommy Lee Jones being as manic as he has ever been. Gary Busey at the top of his Busey powers. There is a scene featuring Erika Eleniak and a cake. I think I wore out block busters VHS watching that scene.”

Gurren Lagann - Season 1
“This show is simply a masterpiece because it is the indominable human spirit”

The Silence of the Lambs
“If I had to give an example of a movie with excellent tension I would show them this.”

Big Fish
“I saw a bunch of classic films in HS simply because my friend group has nothing better to do.”

Parasite
“From time to time the Oscars gets it right.”

Snowpiercer
“Chris Evans is a good actor elevated to great in this movie by Bong Joon Ho.”

SpeedRunners
“Looking to get pissed off at your friends?”

Marvel Cosmic Invasion
“Greta couch co-op game that's just easy to pick up and put down, turn your brain off and spend time with someone”

Spectre
“Not the 'c' word I had in mind but I digress”

Hokum
Hokum throws curveballs at you in the best way possible from the moment it starts. The character development in this movie is something to be studied. The tone is incredibly unsettling, with this cons...
